All About Anne Wood

I might describe myself as a painter of memories. Paint is moved around in an intuitive way to describe nature as I see it. Remembered shapes, colours and textures appear as I work.


Using oils or acrylics on canvas and board I might not have any pre-conceived results in mind; just some chosen colours on my palette and maybe a small sketch. I begin a painting journey which continues until I feel the picture is visually satisfying. I invite you to look into my pictures and see if they stir some memories of your own. My studio and gallery are set in Wild at Heart nature garden. In addition to the Art on the Map open days, visitors are welcome on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from May until the end of September from 1 to 5pm. Also at other times by appointment. Refreshments available.
